I found this list of recommended tweaks at Mapleshaderecords.com (http://www.mapleshaderecords.com/tweaks/freeaudiotips.php).
A number of the tweaks are common and make perfect sense. However there are some that go entirely against the norm'. Just curious if anyone here has tried any of these, or if anyone has any thoughts on them.

HAHA i read these a while ago..... i just laughed at most of them.
I like how he describes most of them as "it's like removing horse blankets from your speakers" and " it will increase performace by 100%"
going by his number..... by doing several of those free tweaks, you could improve performance by more than 500%, i shall say hogwash.
While most of them make logical sense, how much actual improvement is being doen can be extremely debated.
O well everysingle one of there cd's sound just incredible, i have not found better audioquality on any other label so i will let them be :)
I think it is time to order a few more cd's from them.

Their free tweaks are weak, but I do like the ionclast static gun for cds, wires, lps, etc. I have a real problem with static on my turntable after brushing an album off and the ionoclast is awesome for helping with this.

Glad you mentioned that. I forgot to ask in my post.
Thanks.
BTW I too got a pretty good chuckle out of their descriptions.

My personal favorites would have to be:
Never use any speaker wire shorter then 8ft, because 4ft sounds much worse then 8ft.
Everyone sits to high, sit on phone books and it sounds so much better.
Everyone has their speakers to high, bring them down to the ground and it sounds so much better.
So you need to use 8ft+ speaker wire, sit on the floor with your speakers up high, and sit up high with your speakers on the floor. I guess on axis response sounds bad to them.

cmy,
Some of those do you make you smile, so I guess their is value in a chuckle. Stating the obvious, but their intent is to sell us something.
I received a Karma gift from SteveAZ which were their isloation cones, a set of three of them. I put them under my Denon 2900, I did hear better mid-range clarity.

Their tweaks are pretty cheesy; given the calibre of their stuff you would expect better tweak advice...LOL
