Bi-amping

I have a onkyo txsr803, and a txsr503. I want to bi-amp my front rti10's with the 503. I understand you exit the 803 out of the L and R preamp spots, into the 503 under dvd or whatever L and R audio in, correct? I just want to see how huge of a difference I would see, and if I notice a substantial difference in sound output, I will invest in a seperate amplifier and get rid of the 503.

This would be wise no matter what. Remember to remove the jumpers.

Yes, you can do that, but just realize that the 503's volume control is in play and balancing the volume with the 803 is not going to be straightforward. Too much or too little of one vs. another is more likely to determine what your impressions will be...

Anyone you know have a separate amp you can borrow for an afternoon?

Unfortunately I do not know anyone w/a seperate amp that I could use for a demo, thats why I was debating on trying the other receiver (503) as a seperate amp. If i noticed a difference I then would purchase a seperate amp and get rid of the 503.

I live here in Wichita, Kansas. I would buy a amp from my store here that I work at, but we don't have any straight amplifiers, just receivers.
