??? about hooking up to New big screen.

Just purchased a 62" big screen and todasy bought a pr of R30 speackers. I also got speaker wire ( two wires going into one plug).

Will this wire work or do I need to do something different.

Do you have a seperate receiver? This wire just goes from two wires into a single rca plug right?

Well ron, the R30's are going to need a little more power than the line level output you tv is putting out... It would be like hooking them up to the headphone jack of a portable cd player. It might work for small, efficient headphones but you need something in between to amplify the signal.

What you need is a receiver, integrated amplifier, or a pre/pro amp and an amplifier. The speaker wire you have now won't really work. It all depends on your setup as to what cables you will need.
