Cambridge Audio Azur 540 DVD

I picked up one of these recently and tonight while I played with my new Outlaw ICBM unit I have been comparing this DVD player and the Denon 910 I have had, and also a Denon 3910 that a friend wanted to sell. If you don't care about SACD/DVD-A (the Azur 540 does have DVD-A) and want PQ and SQ for HT use, then in my evaluation the Cambridge is as good if not better than the Denon 3910. I definetely see a difference between the 540 and the Denon 910, with the 910 having a sharper more detailed picture, but the 540 having a softer more realistic picture. Depth of the image is a little better on the Cambridge 540 also. I'm pretty impressed with this DVD player.

Yep. It's a very solid player. I've had mine for about 1.5 years with no problems. Music sounds just as good as the Cambridge 640C that I used to own.
