Couple of cable questions

Is there a rule of thumb as to how far you can run a composite video signal? How about S-video? Thanks for the info.

And okiepolkie, I replied to your PM and also asked a couple of questions, if you get a chance to read them.

Composite cideo can run over a rg6 75 ohm cable about 500 feet. S video , depending on design or adapters can be pushed a few hundred feet.

Thanks for the reply, Dan. The lengths I'm working with are less than 50ft., so I guess either one should work. I may just go with the composite, since I've got plenty of RG-6 available to me and the application doesn't require exceptional quality anyway.
