can the denon 3805 provide audio in a second room without another amplifier while being used as a 5.1 audiovideo function in the main room :cool:

Yes; you can use the "Zone 2" speakers output and select sources independently for each zone.

Yes, the 3805 can do this for you.

thanks, follow up question can the source in the second room be the tuner on the reciever or does it have to be an indeoendent source like a cd player or some other independent source? thanks again for the prompt response. :D

Yes, it can be the tuner. The second zone is utilized when you assign the rear surround speakers to second zone, rather than rear surround speakers for 7.1 usage. The only caveat is that the second zone can only run on analog sources, like a CD player, tuner, analog inputs for DVD, etc.

From what I know, the source for the Zone 2 must be analog. So no digital inputs.
Edit: Ok, I'm not sure of that for the 3805, but I know its true for the 3803 and my 4802.
