No moral judgements, but the man lived a rough life.

One of the founding fathers of African American comedy, he will be missed by many at least from that standpoint.

I'm glad he no longer has to suffer. Multiple Sclerosis is a horrific illness.
My mother suffers from MS & Fibromyalgia. Not in advanced stages mind you, but it's bad enough.

I remember when I was about 10 or so, going camping with my dad, my uncle, and my cousin. After we had gone to "bed", my dad and uncle were up drinking, and listening to a Richard Pryor tape. My cousin and I sat up absolutely dumbfounded by the things he said - most of which we didn't really understand at the time.

Say waht you want about him, but he was a groundbreaking comic in certain aspects.

Funny, funny man... His job interview sketch with Chevy Chase on SNL is one of the funniest bits ever done on that show.

RIP Richard...

Fuckin' great comedian! I agree with a reporter I heard who said he could say fuck in 100 different ways to represent 1000 different things.

They still got me... :D

Richard will be missed though. I remember watching his special on HBO when I was a kid. He was a great comic.

That is a shame. I dont care who you are Pryor was hysterical! You could be the most stone cold, card carrying KKK member and you still could not sit thru one of his bits without laughing your ass off.

RIP Richard...Just saw a 10 second snipit on SNL...

That's all they showed or said about his passing. I really expected a bit more from SNL about it.

Everybody has that one special uncle. Well mine give me a copy of Pryor's "Bicentennial N*****" album when I was visiting on a family trip in 1976. I remember sitting in back of the Ford LTD panel wagon listening to it over and over all the way back from Illinois to Idaho. That is the kind of thing that will change an 11 year old :D

RIP
