You know I too was a little surprised by that . The ac cord is the same on their $2100.00 subs too. I don't know if another cord would make a difference though.

Do they? I have never had experience with anything other than the factory cords so I guess I really can't say. I have the dedicated 20 amp circuit, power conditioner etc. Beardog, what is an example of the kind of difference the ac cord can make?

for me personally, it was like turning the faucet up on the sink..

more clean power flowing into the unit

some folks disagree on this issue, and notice little if any difference...

I have limited experience (stock and Signal Cable) with different cords, but I am on the side of the fence that can tell a difference, be it small or large..

Definately worth the small price tag...IMO

I will agree they can make a measurable difference. The question on the table should be does it make an audible difference. I don't know, so I won't throw a random opinion out there.

Im the type of person that believes in no weak links.

If you replace your cables in one spot, you might as well replace them in all spots.

A rounded off system is good... once you get everything in your setup squared away as far as components, head to the cables.

It made a very slight difference in my setup, but I'm glad I did it 'cause I'm comfortable with the fact that I have good cables. The only way to know is to try it and see if it makes a difference to you.

Hell, just do it for the sake of mating quality gear with quality accessories. One wouldn't drive a Maserati with cheap tires.

Hello POLKbrothers,
As mentioned, it does not make any difference. THE current that goes thru the power cable is not much. Check out the fuse and you will believe me on this. For this reason, SVS Engineers did not emphazise on this....SO save your $$$$$$$. ;)
