Not sure exactly where this belongs, so here it is.

I'm needing a PDA/PC of some type, however, I don't know exactly what to get. Haven't ever shopped for one, so I don't really even know what is available.
It is primarily for my home theater install business, so I need a little more than a piece of paper for everything(seem to always misplace paper, not electronics).

Here are my needs:

1)Keep datebook(I know they all do this)
2)Store customer information information: model numbers, calibration settings for audio/video......
3)If possible, I would like to download remote control codes(Harmony), so I can update cutomer remotes without hauling my laptop around. I guess this would require a regular USB port from the PDA
4) I don't need a phone

That is about it.

If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Zach

Is the only way to get the codes onto the Harmony remotes though a usb cable?

You can do infrared learning, but that would take up more time than it would be worth.

you should checkout an HP iPaq - palm sized computer, no phone. Operates with Windows Mobile - just like a laptop but palm sized. Don't know what it's RF capabilities are though....
