awhile ago i posted a thread about my new svs rattling the hell outta my windows. i've lived with it until last night. watched resident evil, apocalypse again and the rattling made me mad. my sub also walked all over the tiled floor. killed two birds with one stone. used that foam double-stick tape and a strip of plastic to create a barrier around the sub. no more walking. used the same tape and smushed it between the glass pane and framing and case closed!!! now i can really crank up the sub! talk about a simple fix for a simple problem.

Well crap! you coulda just epoxied it to the tile itself......... oh yeah and the window two. But if the window ever starts ratteling again the best way to stop that from continuing on is to just throw a brick through it and then it wont rattle any more.

bizill, how do you like the plus/2? Been considering it as an upgrade but then I'm never satisfied and was wondering if I should save some more for the ultra/2.

dude, i am totally happy with it. sure i'd love to own the ultra, but i'd never use it to its full potential. i don't even use the plus to its fullest. it is already awesome. $800 to make a small difference does not fit into my agenda.

Ultra/2 Rocks! :D Bizill, you have to get a GRAMMA (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GRAMMA/) (or two). GRAMMA REVIEW (http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_11_2/auralex-gramma-4-2004.html)

thanks, wingnut. i dunno if this little 'dealie' would be worth my time any longer. my room is so pressurized from the airwaves that everything rattles, not so much from the floor. i have concrete slab covered with slick tile. since i wedged that foam double-stick tape up in there, probs are now gone. i'm not sure, but i would think that my svs would walk itself right off of the gramma unless i bolted it down or somehow spiked the svs to the gramma. but thanks for the suggestion. you are truely a sub-bass lover tryin' to help another.

Your welcome. I was thinking more for the sliding than the rattling . You must really blast it :D

man, if i could strap my svs to the back of my z-28 with the ports facing rearward, that could take the place of a 100 shot nitrous blast. it could propel me to far off lands the likes of which i've never seen. wtf am i talking about???? anyway, my tile floor is just terribly slick. i'm surprised with the small amount of sub-bass eminating from my rti8's that even they have not begun to shift.
