I've been busy (at the hardware store:eek:) this last week or so. I kinda like it. My categories wouldn't be the same. Current Polks, Polk of old, etc.

have I ever considered a second 61/2 driver for the 1000's?
No ,i feel this speaker is more balanced then the rt800 series.The single 61/2 driver I feel sound's great at any volume.It's also sealed .
Adding another 6 1/2 driver I don't think would help the 1000 in any way.I think it's fine the way it is.Even the low extention has a quick and clean sound,I got mine to sound like passive speaker's.
If you want to inprove the sound of the rt1000 series, run them with better amp's ,wire,and placement.Keeping the sub amp down low is also away to improve them.Mine sit about 9 oclock.They blend in with the rest of the speaker there setup in my room.
If you go listen to the rt2000 series they dont need a second 6 /2 driver.They perform extremly well the way they are.The amount of driver in a speaker doesn't always equal better or worse sound.Balance is key.Most of the time...LESS IS MORE!!

doesnt the second driver in the RT800 help to get the bass output , Where the RT1000 has a sub to do that?:confused:

i can spell but i am not the best and plus i am not the best at typeing when i type ip papers i have spell check i guess i just suck and have no brains just that i am not a great speller i dont care but yess i am a bad speller and typest just wish they had spell check on here
