HI
I have a question about the LSI25 I just got back from the store where I was going to buy them. The problem I have is I asked the sales person about wiring the built in sub he said i don't have to wire to the sud line in that it was not necessary it would pickup the signal from the main speaker wires because it was the same signal is that ture

yes, you can set your main speakers to "large" and subwoofer to "No" on your avr and the subs in the LSi25 will get the all sub info.

Then what is the point of having a 150w amp if you do not need it

You can connect the LSi25's either way, it has both line level and LFE inputs. Take a look at the manual..http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/individual/floorstanding/lsi25/

The LSi will route the sub info to the 150 watt amp and it'll push the largest driver. You AVR will push the other 3 drivers in each speaker.

I took out the shorting bars, ran the main right and left outputs(small mode) to the top pair of speaker jacks only. Then hooked the subwoofer pre outs to the LFE inputs on the right and left speakers. I use the gain to tailor the bass output as desired, it sounds very good.
