Is that supposed to kill vibrations or something?
If I was up to it...
I would find a big picture of a cup of beer... and photoshop it on top of the thing...
Looks like a gigantic popcorn bowl holder or drink coaster..

Is that a thorens? And is it just me or is the tone arm a bit low?

Pebbles and Bam-Bam... LOL. Could double as a lazy Susan for dips and chips.
Is that a thorens? And is it just me or is the tone arm a bit low?Could be any platter/ drive. The control is not from a Thorens. It's an SME II tonearm, and it does look a little low to me as well.
