I'm going to be moving my 35's to the sidewall of my HT room. They will need to be angled forward slightly, so I won't be using the keyhole slot in the back of the powerport. I think I have 2 options. Use some nice wall brackets and put a shelf on them. This way I can aim the speakers just about anywhere, except up or down. I would like to keep them higher on the wall and angle them down. Another option would be to use some type of speaker mount.
Has anyone used these type of mounts with the powerport type of bookshelves. I was checking out some from parts express(item #240-710) Seems like the powerport might be a problem.

These are the mounts that I use. (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4smD7VtT24g/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=15800&I=121BT77B&search=bt%2D77) They work really well and were recommended to me by another club polk member. They are adjustable and look pretty decent. (click on the wizards quote in my sig and it will take you to my showcase. You can get an idea of what they look like with speakers mounted to them.)

happy hunting.

Looks like that type of mount might work. Any chance of the speaker tipping over or falling off when angled down?

The B-Tech BT77 brackets are excellent....I also use them. I've tried to kill my speakers on these mounts for 3 years...no success yet. They are rock solid , providing you mount and secure them correctly.

There are pictures of them in my showcase as another example.

I'm using the BT-77 as well for my RT25i. They work perfect, although they can't be angled down very much (only about 10 degrees). The instructions tell you to drill small holes and screw in the base of the speakers if you are angling them, but I chose not to drill. Instead, I used a little blu-tack on the bottom to "stick" and isolate the speakers without drilling holes. I've had them up for more than 8 months without any problems.

Thanks for the replys. Looks like I'm going to try and mount them about 5'6" from the floor and even with the rear seating. Then angle them towards the front center seat. :)
