Painting RTI8's

I got the chance to get RTI8's Cherry $330 dollars cheaper than the black ones, but i really needed black how hard would it be to paint these black?

don't. spend the extra for black or if you already purchased, sell 'em and get black. or just switch out your furniture for some cherrywood. i wish i had cherrywood decor. from what i hear, that cherrywood is beautiful.

that sucks I was hoping it wouldnt be a "terrible idea". They won't look that bad in my living room but i would have liked black better and also my csi3, rti4's, and pb10 are all black. To let ya'll know i got them for $230. Or maybe i can pull something crazy after christmas at circuit city saying i got them as a gift and they got me the wrong color and i exchange them LOL

What ever you do don't paint them, they will end up loking like some 5 yr old's art class

LoL i'm not really going to do that at CC just a funny thought. Yeah I won't paint them I promise! I live in Port Lavaca TX ! Painting wood? Thats why i thought it would work fine because it is indeed wood.....

You may want to consider taking them to a shop that does kitchen cabinent refurnishing. They may be able to put a black vaneer over the cherry. Don't paint!!!!!

Please don't, I have the RTi8s in cherry and they are beautiful! I like mine so much, that I would be in the market for another set,.....if the price was right. I would be willing to buy these from you, allow you a decent little profit, and close the gap on getting another set in black. If you are interested, drop me a private e-mail, and name your price. We can go from there to see if we can strike a deal. If you will, let me know their condition, if you have original boxes and packing for shipping, and the price for the pair.

No matter what you decide, you will love these speakers.

Applying paint over a clear coat finish is never a good idea. Besides, cherry says "class" like black never will.

We'll don't count on it i've been F$CK#D again. After they were supposed to be shipped yesterday i got a call from the website and they said "we just wanted to make sure you did know the price is for one" I even called and asked to make sure that it was 2 and the idiot guy said hold on let me check and then came back saying "YES it's for 2 we'll ship them out today FEDEX" I'm so pissed off this is the second time this has happened to me first when i was going to get rti6's and now this...

ebay. type in rti8 and only one comes up clarion_business is the seller. You have to call them to place the order. I was a bit iffy on whether or not to deal with them because the payment was outside of ebay. Everything turned out nicely though the guy was cool and I was refunded instantly after notified of the error. I know it's still a good price but I am in the process of saving up for rti8's and those were in my rti8 budget that i have saved up so far. Now the only thing you have to keep in mind is that the shipping was $80 now if that was for 1 i wonder if for 2 it will be $160? Anywhere else i can search for new or used 8's besides ebay?
