and dear lord. This thing is absolutely amazing! I upgraded from an older Denon 1200 (played DVD-a at least). Even regular dvd's look better and sound much better. DVD-a is honestly about the same but man what have I been missing without SACD? I had to screw with my brother and let him hear the Norah Jones cd layer and then switched it over to the SACD stereo layer. It was shocking how much difference there was. Needless to say I had to purchase another SACD the next day (Ray Charles - Genius Loves Company)! I will be adding a lot more to my music collection now. Wow. Anyone looking for a great player for a good price, this is it! I was going to hold out for the 3910 but couldn't wait due to the price I paid for the 2910 (it was stupid cheap). Anyone have some good SACD's they wanna sell/give me? :D

Have one myself and for the price I have not seen better. Took back the 2900 muti player and picked up the 2910. Not just me but everyone sees a big improvement with the video quality. Nice pick up enjoy.

That is a great DVD player but unfortunately it did not work so well with my DLP. I had macroblocking issues big time so I just sold it on Ebay. It sounds tremendous though and for any set other than a DLP it is terrific. Congrats and enjoy!

What DLP do you own? We install them on DLP all the time with no Issues. I wonder if you had a bad player.

I have the Samsung HLR5688. The reason I kept the 2910 is because it had an excellent PQ otherwise and sounded great. It just seems that the MB has steadily gotten worse (even with firmware upgrades). I put in a Sony NS700H just to confirm that it was not my tempermental tv and the Sony looked fine. I have no doubt that this player is the cat's meow with no problems...on a set other than mine.

I just bought the 1920. Is there a bing difference in sound and picure quality? I was told since I only have a 36 inch TV, that It would not be worth to spend the money on the 2910. If I had a big screen, I was told that I would be able to see an improvement in the picture. What about audio between both units?

May I ask where and how much you all paid for the 2910? I might send the 1920 back if the price difference is not too big. I am always skeptical about buying DVD players online, because you cannot purchase extended warranties on products sold to California from other states. DVD players always need cleaning and alignment. I would hate to spend $600 on a DVD and be out of warranty, just too many moving parts, unlike a receiver.

Hello all,
I have the 2910 as well (almost a year now) and love it! SACD playback is stunning (as I have mentioned before, I'm most impressed with Telarc's SACDs for jazz and classical). Anything in SACD by Dianna Krall is also superb.
I elected to go with the 2910 rather than the higher end models because I will almost certainly upgrade to a blu-ray High Def player in 2006 when they are released.
Enjoy! I know I certainly love having this kind of awesome music in my home. Oh yeah, the 2910 kicks butt for home theater as well. Very nice upconvert to 720p and DTS/Dolby Digital playback is fantastic.
