I was suprised by this one. I saw this last night. Not a bad flick. I really did not hear much on this movie so I didn't really have any expectations. Val K. played a great role. So did Carrie-Ann Moss. The surround sound was excellent!! The scene with the zero gravity fire was the best. By far it was the best "space" movie that I have seen in a while. To sum it up, I would give this a thumbs up!!

The movies looks so cool on the new 50'' Pioneer Elite Plasma screen, my local electronic store selected this one to demo the Elite gears...

But... How does the Val Kilmer character WALK 100 KILOMETERS with no water in like 20 hours?! Watchable flick, way better than MISSION TO MARS, but still way stupid.
What has Val Kilmer ever done besides REAL GENIUS? Done well, I mean? (HEAT.)

One word Micah....
ICEMAN
Even though the roll was cheesy, he plaid the arrogant, gum smacking, fighter jock pretty well....
Just another pretty boy, not an ACTOR.
Cheers,
Russ
Heat could have been great, it had a decent cast, albiet somewhat predictable, a good plot, and was certainly long enough....
Just left me wanting/expecting more.....

Thunderheart and The Ghost and the Darkness. Definitely the best two films he was in.

I personally think Val has been pigeon-holed.
I like most of the movies he has been in. Sure there are the bad one's but name one actor that has been in a movie or two that sucked.
I'm not a Val lover, but if I see a new movie has come out on DVD/VHS and he's in it, I usually rent it.
Heck even the movie with him and Mira Sorvino was pretty descent. (The one where he was blind)

Well.......after all this talk about this movie I decided to pick up a USED copy at a local video store just to see how good Val/Moss are in this movie...priced paid-$12.99 cdn.....did not want to spend the full amount on a new copy......and use the savings for the new dvd release of Ocean 11.
