My wife and I recently got married (Dec 2nd) and are starting to plan the honeymoon. Yeah yeah, I know...we should have taken one already yada yada yada...anywho...We have no idea where to go but don't want to spend a ton of money. I was looking at slickdeals.net last night and found out Northwest Airlines is running an all-year special out of Atlanta and Cincinnati. Round trip tickets from those two cities, to Honolulu, are only $350 with tax! I tried other airlines via their sites and through Orbitz, Expedia, etc. and they're running twice as much or more for the same tickets.

With that, I know Hawaii is expensive as all hell and was wondering if any of you guys have been there recently and how did you like it? Did you do an all inclusive trip or did you do things on your own?

We're looking to take the trip between March 17th and March 30th, maybe for eight to ten days.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

my brother and his wife took a anniversary trip to Belize.. and they loved it.. they said is was pretty reasonable too. so you may want to check that if you're interested. I've never been there. but since it's a honeymoon.. i'd say spend the extra $$ and do it right , something you'll treasure for years to come.

I know two people who have been to Hawaii... and both always talk about going back. If you have the cash, seems like a perfect Honeymoon spot to me.

I was there for a week on a business trip. Beautiful place but I was boared to tears. Now if you like driving around the island, going to the dole pineapple place, lying on the beach and shopping for nic nacs, you would have a blast.
