F***ing Spam mail!

Our corporate spam filter is set to give us daily and weekly reports on total emails received and what percentage is spam, viruses, etc...

Here is todays report for January 4-11.

Total email received - 161,448

Percentage that is Spam - 127,522 (79%)

Viruses - 0

Worms - 8 (<1%)


Spam mail has gotten so far out of hand that it's not even funny. 79% is the average for the week. Some days, 85% - 90% is spam. Rediculous!

I've noticed it kicking up a notch on one of my home accounts. Filters used to catch most of it but it's getting out of control.

Time to switch email addresses again.

Seriously, I think televised game shows involving shooting cannons of razorblades at spammers while they stand in lemon juice showers is in order.

Very good punishment...

I keep hearing these spam horror stories, but have yet to have the issue. I get maybe 5 a day that are "Known Spam" and two or so "Suspect" that are in fact Spam.
