I have a Polk CSi5 Center Channel that is currently on a shelf on my TV stand. I have a 56" DLP that is only 16.94" deep at it's deepest point (bottom 1/3 of set). The CSi5 is 14 7/16 " deep.

Are there solutions out there to put the center channel on top of the set or am I better off leaving it on the TV stand shelf.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I use a shelf made for these newer TVs. It hooks over the top and lets you sit a speaker or whatever on top of your TV. My TV is a 55in Sony RPLCD. Right now I use that shelf for my DVD player but a center speaker will work as well. I had some concerns putting a 30 pound speaker on it. . . Circuit City or Best Buy not to mention WalMart etc has these things. . .

Thanks. I'm not sure I want to put a 30 pound speaker on it either. I may stick with the stand.

Supports up to 30 pounds, and what's nice about it is that you can probably tilt your center forward a little bit and angle the center towards your sitting area. I would suggest putting a small rubber mat underneath the center so it doesn't slide of. Plus it comes in two colors so hopefully one of them matches with what you have. :)

That's the one I use. It works well, takes about 5 minutes to install. My 55in Sony is a table top model so I have a shelf right under it where I put a heavy center. . . I will say that I prefer it on top though.

Taurus and gyusher are right, I use the same center stand for both a CSi5 and a CSi3 and it works quite well.

Hmmm....I think that CSi5 is simply too big for your needs. I'll tell you what, I'll be a nice guy and buy it off you.
