You break them in by playing them. That's it.

Breaking in means the same in audio as in anything else such as a new car engine, baseball glove, pair of jeans, etc. Over time the parts adjust themselves according to their intended purpose. For speakers, break-in can be anywhere from a couple of hours to 300 hours depending on the speakers. Virtually everything in audio has a break-in period, even cables.

Please video tape the next time you break in a speaker and post a link. I would like to see you do this.

If you give me your speakers, I'll go ahead and break them in for you and I'll show everyone how its done :)

Please send payment of US$3000 with your address and I will ship the speakers. Just this once, I will cover the shipping costs.

The $3000 would cover my costs for purchasing a replacement pair of Dynaudio Contour S1.4 speakers. I would send the speakers so you could demonstrate your audio philosophies for us.

Thanks for volunteering to join my Ignore List.

I prefer to use a bat.

You see I break them in like a baseball glove, I throw a bunch of oil on em, roll em around in the dirt and then punch them over and over with a fist right in the drivers. Then I take out my fungo bat and hit some line drives right into them.

Virtually everything in audio has a break-in period, even cables.

But on amore serious note... *ahem* Some people may dispute the cable break in, I dont think that is really fact but one of the many cable debates. I dont wanna start a whole cable debate thread though... It's like "Groundhog Day" every time I click on a thread arguing the virtues of cables :)
