RT800i and RT1000i

I'm getting ready to throw a sniper bid on some RT800i's this afternoon (right now the high bid is $214).

I noticed that there is a pair of RT1000i's that ends about the same time that is even lower right now..

Are the RT800i's more sought after because they aren't powered?

THere are also a couple of RT2000i's out there as well for around $500-600 plus shipping..one of the pairs are still in the box (which is strange to me..he said he bought them a few months ago online and his wife was pissed they were so big)..there are NO pics of the speaker other than the 2 boxes that are sitting in his garage..

I'm gonna try for the RT800i's because if I get scammed, it won't kill me like it would if I try for the RT2000i's

I vote for the RT2000i. IMO, MUCH better than either the RT800i or RT1000i.

When I was shopping in 2000, I auditioned the 800i's, 1000i's and 2000i's and there was no contest between the 800's and the 1000's. It was to the point that I was wincing everytime they switched back to the 800i's. The 2000i's are somewhat better, but nowhere near the jump from 800 to 1000. So deffinitely get either the 1000's or 2000's and let your budget decide between them.

How do the RTi8's compare to the Rt2000i's? Strickly for HT that is.
