I believe the new Denon 5803 and Pioneer Elite 4900 have full bass management control abilities (for 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1 inputs), the rest have partial or little control, most of others have none...

Denon DVD3300 has built in bass management for dvd-audio.
Very cool.

HOOSIER,
The 8 channel in you can set the levels. The fixed output of your sacd or dvd audio can be level adjusted. If you own the 3801/2 just turn on the external ins and press the enter key and up will come the level adjustmants, now you can adjust the levels.this is a cool feature for no bass management. Can't do large and small setting but at least you can set up the levels.

How do you hook up this outboard decoder?
From dvd player(6 analog cables) to bass manager to receiver(another 6 analog cables) ? That would be a lot of cables.....but what are ya gonna do ?!
