What's the deal with so many HK refurbs on Ebay? I can get an AVR 635 for around $500 (I think the msrp is $1299?) from one of those auctions...there are at least three or four 635 auctions a DAY...this isn't even counting the other model numbers and items harmonaudio is selling daily...
Do you get the same warranty as buying new?
If so...it seems like a no-brainer

If they're from harmanaudio (they have a website too, www.harmanaudio.com) , then you do get a factory warranty. They just sell all the refurbs. People have had a few issues with the QC on the refurbs, but from what I've heard, Customer Service on those few issues has been decent. Definitley seems like the way to go for the budget-minded.

It's a great way to clear out inventory. I've had no issues and wouldn't hesitate if I wanted the bigger receiver.

I bought a refurb stereo receiver that worked great, but decided to return to go separates; it was a no hassle return. I've heard others had good experiences with them also.

My previous HK receiver was a refurb. Looked brand new when I opened the box. Go for it.

Bought a refurbed H/K DVD player a couple weeks ago for an install. Looks good and sounds good so far.
