My favorite episode...

Is when they test the theory of cleaning a concrete truck out with a stick of dynamite, but they filled one to much (6 feet of solid concrete) - so they blew it to nothing (literally) with 850 or so pounds of dynamite... that was great.

Yeah, any episode where they're trying to prove something about explosives is great, because once they prove their myth, then they just blow shit up.

After watching the episode about seasickness cures, I tried the ginger root (winner) to ward off seasickness along with my entourage when we went on a cruise this last December. Seemed to work...noone got sick!

Yep, one of my favorite series of shows. I find myself watching more & more shows on Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel and The History Channel. Mythbusters was a great idea, wish I was part of the crew, looks like lots of fun.

Hey how about starting a show about busting Audio Myths, perhaps on the all Audio cable channel. :D

Great show. It's both edumatacational and hillarious at times. Some of the blooper stuff is damn funny.

Yeah, that concrete truck thing was amazing. I laughed for 5 minutes when that Adam walked over to the wreckage and picked up a piston rod and said "Now there is your problem". I mean, there was like nothing left of the truck.

Kari and Scottie are the main reason I watch. Especially Kari. Sweet sweet clean Kari.

I want to wear her ass as a hat.

So then we can finally call you an asshat without taking shots at you?

Saw the episode where Kari dons the silver bikini and gets painted with aluminum paint to test the story about the tin man actor getting sick.
Kari is hot! ... will I get banned for that?

Nice knowing everyone

Yeah, it is a pretty cool show. One of those that I always stumble onto, and don't change the channel until its over. Makes me wish I watched TV more often.

Ya, Kari's great, if only she didn't puke at the sight of meat. Fruity.

They did two things on audio, the one show about the brown note( I think it was about low freq causing you to poop) & breaking a glass with a human voice.

My favorites are when they launch the crash dummy. The rocket chair or culvert cannon are always worth watching. Kari is hottest with a acetylene torch in her hand.

LOL, yes I remember the "brown note" show and throughly enjoyed the "Is it Live or Is It Memorex" wine glass shattering episode.

Kari is a babe and I'll admit I find myself watching it a bit more than before she was on the show.

Mythbusters seems to be lasting longer than my other fave JunkYard Wars. Although you can only make so many interesting motion machines and I think they just plain wore out the freshness of that show. Used to be a die-hard American Chopper viewer also, but it has lost some of its freshness and unpredictability as well.

Also enjoyed American HotRod, anybody know if that's coming back?

These types of reality shows sure beat the hell out of American Idol, The Bachelor, that Geek Freak show, Survivor, etc.

Anybody watch Pioneer Experience on PBS last year? Also like the new Survivor Man show on Discovery.

It's a great show. I just love the fact that regardless of how far fetch the myth is, they do what ever it takes to complete the task (and crap ussually ends up blowing up).

I just love that show, today has them peeing on the third rail of a train track to check for electrical travelThe first show they did on this subject they dis-proved that myth. I know, or knew, someone that died doing this. I guess a lot of people agreed with me because they did another show re-visiting this subject and it proved true the second time around.

I liked the episode with the Jato rockets strapped to the car.

I've heard that modern physics can prove - given the perfect conditions -that you can support an elephant hanging off of a cliff with it's tail tied to a Dandelion. Doing it IRL? They can prove or bust any myth they want on that show but its all relative IMO.

You knew someone who died from pissing on a third rail?

Anyone remember Ren and Stimpy? "Don't Wizz On .. the electric FENCE."

And it's not ALL relative. You can't just throw out phrases like "it's all relative" to make any point, you actually have to put some effort into making the point. I've heard lots of things that aren't true, THAT'S WHY THE SHOW EXISTS. They woudln't try to prove the elephant thing because not many people are silly enough to BELIEVE it.

You knew someone who died from pissing on a third rail?Yes I did. I would not make up something like that.

And it's not ALL relative.Sure it is :) You can't just throw out phrases like "it's all relative" to make any point, you actually have to put some effort into making the point.Yes I can and no I don't but if you insist then I'd have to say that they're tests, from the limited amount of shows I've bothered to watch, are, IMO, not exactly conducted under the most exacting conditions. It seemed to me to be stuff two guys just threw together, for me, the real reason the show exists. I've heard lots of things that aren't true, THAT'S WHY THE SHOW EXISTS.I think the show exists to entertain people, don't you? They woudln't try to prove the elephant thing because not many people are silly enough to BELIEVE it.I didn't say I believed it but since I stated it I guess I'm just a silly person and you should take anything I say with a grain of salt :D

No, too boring, they need to get to the actual experiment much faster and spend less time talking and setting up.

the show is good and I really enjoy it... even if the experiments are not made under the conrrect conditions, is TV not college...
