You think I accidently pulled a thread this old? See the shit-eatin' grin smiley at the end of my first post.

This thread is an example of what happens when you post a home audio question on the 12V side, three years of crickets chirping. :)

Now...

I can understand the Car Audio folks getting confused between here and the HT section...but how can you miss the sub section (top of the forum) and scroll all the way down here.....lol

Yall are "interesting" people - fun place to come and hang out - get away from the serious nature of the HT side... ;)

LOL!!

Yeah, most of these threads end up in meaningless wisecracks.

Most of the HT threads either end with a fight or just suddenly stop!

Different on other forums too. The Carsound forum has a brawl in EVERY SINGLE THREAD! Doesnt matter what you post some asshole always comes in and starts flaming somebody.

Its pretty civil in the grand picture... the HT side is fairly large and diverse and things sometimes get out of hand...

But when a Polkie - any Polkie is in trouble...I wouldnt be afraid to rely on them for a bit of help either...

Great folks over there man...

Ya gotta be into home audio as well. Where else can you get a pure reference source for your car audio?

Not only do you get a perfect soundstage but you get zero road noise.

And HT? Man, youve gotta hear a good 5.1 system! Once you do, youll never go back!

Vr3MxStyler2k3
08-10-2005, 08:54 PM
5.1 is ok - isnt really a reference of anything though...

A killer 2-channel setup is the "Reference" - 5.1 is for showing off and reproducing movies - but its really bad for music if you dont have the mains squared away real good...

MacLeod

True. But you do the 5.1 right and not go with a HTiaB, youll have a good set of mains, like the RTi4's and when you listen to 2 channel music youll be set.

Dunno if all do this but my receiver automatically switches to the main 2 speakers whenever I select the CD input.

Just to let you guys know I just got hit by a pillow for disturbing the family from watching a movie. It was my sister that swung a pillow at me :) . They were like what the heck are you laughing at. Feels good to get a good laugh.

jeez, your sister seems like a very violent person, have you considered getting her some professional help...?

She is usually very nice, but I have told her in the past that she was in need of some help :).

Mine is the same way. Most little sisters are probably.

I was bigger, older and stronger so I could easily whoop her. But she was smarter so she beat the shit out of me with those plastic bats, purses and anything else that wasnt nailed down. She once used a wooden drink coaster as a Chinese star and drilled me right between the eyes. Then she runs to mom crying and Im the one the got my ass kicked!

is your sister single? (assuming legal) and would she like to go to costa rica with me and run on the beach topless and such?

and my reference for car audio is car audio. that's how much i appreicate the auto environment over the home environment. i'm trying to get my house to sound as good as my car.

actually i'm going to try to get my garage to sound "pretty good" and then try to get my hosue to sound as good as my car.

i think mac was saying you should try to make your car sound like a top-end home setup, not necessarily yours :). seems like an admirable goal to me, but to each his own...

No she is not single, just likes to throw couch pillows at her older brother. Now if she threw pillows at her honey then she probably would be :)
