Howdy,

Does anyone know the size of the front door speakers in a 2006 Toyota Camry? I'm in the planning phase of replacing the factory system and would like to avoid disassembling anything until I'm ready to install.

Check out Crutchfield.com to figure out the size.

I did - they don't have the car fully spec'd. They have the rear deck speakers, which are easy and obvious, but not the fronts.

Unless someone updated in the last couple of days - we've only had the car a week :-)

Give Crutchfield a call, you can also call your dealer to ask them. I would call several dealers to make sure though.

Probably 6.5". I don't think they've changed them much. I had an older camry. But if not, you can easily adjust.

You could also try calling a local Toyota dealership....one of their salespeople should now. And if not, they could find out pretty easily while you're on the phone.....

I agree, Crutchfield is good and all....I like them....but their rep told me that the PolkAudio db650s I have comfortably installed in the front doors of my '98 Honda Accord LX Sedan "wouldn't fit" when I called to order them (which I did anyway, through Crutchfield). They said they were "1/10 of an inch too deep", or something like that. Anyway, they fit fine. So while Crutchfield can tell you if the speaker basket will hold a certain size, I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in their opinion if they say they are "nths of inches" too wide/deep, etc.

Edit: Oops, sorry...saw the Crutchfield, but just now saw your "dealer" referrence. bm....
