Ok. So i was browsing thru the 2nd hand stores today.. and ran into some older LP collections. I purchased a few and now I want to sell them on Ebay. what basic advice can you give me as to what people are looking for and what will sell.

The ones I got are collections for the 40's, 50's, and 60's type music. For instance Mel Torme, Les Brown, Count Basie, Harry James

This one collection is a limted edition, special stereo selection box set of 10 gold vinyl. the vinyl is mint or near mint, the box itself is a 8 out of 10. box set is complete.

thanks for any advice guys

1)Don't screw people on the shipping. Find out what it'll cost to ship them media mail and don't jack past that +the cost of shipping materials. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing an awesome set of records and then some jackass wanting $100 to ship them when it only costs $15 w/ media mail.
2)List out the records when you're selling more than one. If you don't, then don't expect more then $0.30-$0.50 per record.
3)be realistic on the condition.

As for artists, just about anything will sell on ebay. Go for it, people usually pay more than they should, so it's not a bad way to make a few dollars.

you may have a better bet on Audiogon. I tried selling some older albums on ebay, no bites, audiogon gave me several, don't forget you can mail them media mail to save charges

For gfrading use the Goldmine scale. Here's a link to one posting of the scale, with commentary.

Couple interesting reads here on selling vinyl.
