Well, to start off, I can say I was a real noob when it came to theaters. I can proudly say with the help of all you guys that are so passionate about this stuff, I think I got a really really good system. I started off with the complete LSi lineup, with LSi15's, LSiC, and 4 LSiFx for surrounds in my 7.1 setup. When I went to seriously discuss amplification for those monsters I came to the conclusion that anything available in most retail outlets just wouldn't cut the cheese. I hummed and hawed over it for weeks and finally chose an Outlaw 990 w/ an Outlaw 7700 Amp. I can certainly tell you that this setup is very rock solid. I was a noob as mentioned but I don't think I have heard anything sound so good. Everyone I have had over just drools when the evaluate my setup. The install of the gear is pretty simple and the menu of the 990 is straightforward. Thanks again to all of you who helped me earlier in my selection...or better yet, your discouragement of my previous choices.
Cheers,
Cammrit

Early B, the sub I chose was a Polk PSW505. I haven't had too much time to tweek this but it sounds pretty good. I have read a lot about people adjusting the crossover and changing the connection method. Right now I just have my factory crossover setting on my Outlaw 990 and have the sub hooked up via the Line in (Filtered) input. I beleive the sub, even more so than the other speakers really depends on room acoustics and the bass management of your construction and finishing details of the room. My room is about 18' x 13.5', with concrete perimeters on 2 walls and the floor, so when I built the room, I wired it for an additional sub on the opposite side of the room to try to compensate for the deadening concrete if need be. My feeling was that instead of going overboard on one sub, I would rather have 2 smaller ones. Not that the 505 is small by any standard. I do have a second kick ass Velodyne that I was given from my inlaws. One catch is I think I need to rebuild/replace some of the components in it because it kind of pops and hums when it gets hooked up. I plan to fix it up and then compare it to the Polk...I'll let you know once it's done. Unfortunately I am going to take the advise of all the Polksters and just sit back and watch some hockey on the big screen for a few weeks (Yup, I'm from Canada) :)
Cheers,
