I have 2 GNX104 10" subs and Polk recommends 1.0-1.25 cubic feet per sub. Does anyone know which sounds better 1.0 cu ft box or a 1.25 cu ft box? Or does it all depend on the port diameter and length?

depends on how you define 'better'... generally speaking, larger boxes will give you a little deeper extension and a little better efficiency, in return for a little less powerhandling and a little less clarity... the tradeoff is up to you (i'd go with the small one, with the gnx's)
also note that the different boxes will have different responses, and one may match with your car better than the other, so there's no definite answer to this question...

Im gonna go on record saying that you wont notice much of a difference between a 1 and 1.25 box. If it were me, Id split the difference and shoot for a box in the 1.12 range and call it a day.
