Just found a tear in the surround of my driver's side DB570. It appears to have been caused by the screw pulling on the rubber. Pics:

doesn't appear to actually effect the operation of the speaker, it just annoys me that it's there.

don't try this till someone else chimes in, but what about superglue?

superglue is a no no, itll really mess up the surround. I wouldnt worry about it, something that small on a full range speaker will not affect its sound

Okay. The reason I even had the door panels off was that I was adding the caps to cross the speakers over at 100hz, so now they won't get anything lower than that anyway. I noticed they sound much clearer at high volumes now :)

I have used a small amount of black flixible silicone before on my sub. While it would not last for long, it was on a subwoofer. I think this could work better on something like this.
