After 23 hours of labor, at 12:39am 3/5/06, we finally welcomed a beatiful little miracle into our family: Alyssa Noell Petersen. Measuring 19.5" and weighing in at 6lb 1oz, she's tall and skinny, and oh-so-cute! She has lots of long, medium-brown hair that the nurses have put a little curl in. Both mom and baby are very tired, but healthy and happy. She is our first child, and we are so blessed and proud to have her here!
If you want to see her, I made a little photo gallery here. (http://austinkp.info/alyssa)

p.s. I know it's been a while. I got really busy with school and work, and just got out of the habit of checking in. I'll try to be better.

Congratulations :) !

For me the best thing in the world is spending time with my little ones.

And good luck having time to check in more often... we'll start to see you again in, oh about 8 years... :D

well, if last night was any indication of the future, I'll be having tons of time EVERY NIGHT! I'll only be able to type with one hand though, since the other will be a little tied up...

Congratulation Austin!! Judging by the amount of pictures you already took, I would recommend you get a 500 gig hard drive to store the pictures you'll be taking during the next few months. Enjoy....time flies, my daughter is now 20 years old.

nah, a few weeks from now when she's sleeping for multiple hours at once, you'll be thankful for the times she sleeps, cause then you can sleep too :D

this is from observation of my dad & stepmom, twice - they learned to sleep when baby does the hard way :p

This reminds me of when my dauther was a baby :p. I would do that exact thing, while also listening to music. Now anytime we go anywhere she wants to hear music. She listens to it here at home all the time. She loves to sing as well. My advice is to try to enjoy all the moments you have with her, as stated above, time flies.

Congrats, man! Sure is a special, once-in-a-lifetime 'moment' for y'all. Enjoy it and caress it, for it'll be gone as quick as the blink of an eye.

p.s. I know it's been a while. I got really busy with school and work, and just got out of the habit of checking in. I'll try to be better.
Don't worry about it. I enjoyed reading your posts when you were active, and I've missed your presence, but as long as you have a young family and your education to take care of, CP doesn't even make the list of priorities, much less come close to being on top.

Good to hear from you, I was thinking about you and TrappedUnderIce the other day, both of you seem to have disappeared. Good luck with the little one, theyre certainly a handful. I dont know how parents do it, I dont run on less than 6 hours of sleep :D

LOL! Man, that thread was funny....or was that the Random Thread? It's so long now, I've forgotten what's even in it.

But I thought he preferred some sort of an axe, to a maglite. :p

Congrats Austin. Hope it's a digital camera with extra memory cards.

It's a 256 MB card, and I have an extra 32MB that came with it. I transfer them to my computer frequently, so I never run out of room. I can hold something like 200 pics at a time, so it's never really a worry.
