My front projector is HD ready, all I need is the player and those are due out in May as well.

Sweet. I'll be waiting out for HERO and House of Flying Daggers.

Though I won't be an early adopter. Learned my lesson well. If anything I'll mosy on down to Chi-town and pick up something cheap (hopefully hi-def via component).

Japan is supposedly phasing out Hi-def via analog over the next few years. So we all won't be pissed off over our sets not playing Hi-def with the latest inter-connect.

Apparently Sony is following suit. :)

Sorry Ron.... (http://www.panandscan.com/news/show/Warner/HD-DVD/448)

All I can say is that you should never pin your hopes (or plans) to an unreleased product.

So...the dust has settled.

Does anyone own the Blu-Ray version? Is it worth the $15 Amazon is selling it for over the SD Ultimate Edition? I'm watching it right now.

Yes, but only if you have the 2007 remastered BR version. If you buy the 2006 BR version (now discontinued), you're screwed, so beware if you buy use.

Got it through the upgrade program, the original BD was garbage. I must say it does look very good. Well worth 15 bucks. Here's the one you want

It's been awhile, this should make for a fun film for tonight. Thanks for bringing the thread back to life.

But damn, this thread is nearly 4 years old...

Yup!

The remastered BD is pretty darn impressive. Sharp, good colors - fun movie that gets a repeat from time to time.

Thanks, I'll have to add it to the list. Can't wait until they release Se7en on Blu-Ray. One of my favorites.

I have it... the remastered version. One of my favorite movies of all time still. On my RT55's with my Samsung 46B6000 LED the cinematic experience is amazing.

On my Klipsch Forte system with my Samsung 46B550, the sound is sharp, and fast. Things blow up all around me.

Mmmm gotta love this one.
