Hey, were you looking for Stinger Expert RCAs? I seem to remember it was you. Anyway, I have a friend who has 3 pair that wants to get rid of them. 16' long, retail 125, hes selling them $50/pair+shipping or all 3 for 150 shipped.

Let me know if youre interested, if anyone else is interested youre welcome to chime in, neo has first pick if he wants them though

I think some of the best rca cables out there are Tsunami's. I bought a set of the gold series 4 channel sets and they blow away the streetwire Rca's I used to have.

They sounded so good it sounded like I was getting about two more volts of preamp signals to my amp.

Cables alone will not make that much difference, if both sets were in perfect operating condition. Are you sure the Streetwire cables were not damaged.

Yeah, something was wrong with one of them. You shouldnt have noticed that much of a difference if any at all. Ive tried all sorts of cables over the years and frankly have never noticed a difference. Thats why I stick to Monster Standard cables at $.70 a foot.

i noticed, that's why i asked for them in the first place :p

i might take a second look at a single cable, if your friend chooses to drop the price...

I asked and he said he really didnt want to lower the price. He bought them for $119+ tax and theyre cables so they dont really depreciate. Hell, if it was the home theater side he should charge $150 because theyve already been burned in:D

i dont think cables make that big of a differnce cept for bragging rights, i mean if its big enough to handle the power and gold plated thats what matters right?

depends on the situation... in mine, i had enough radiated noise in my car for the upgrade to make a major difference... in mac's system, apparently it didn't matter

oh ok i might sound dumb but what do you mean by radiated noise?

there's radiation all over the place, and there's a TON in a vehicle... the spark plugs, computer, wiring... basically everything in a car that has electricity emits a field or radiation of some sort (radio frequencies, mostly, if i'm not mistaken)... this messes with your signal... this (http://www.mediacollege.com/audio/balanced/cable-balanced.html) very short article describes balanced interconnects, it may shed some light on why this radiation is bad, and why I needed good RCAs to handle it

Bingo!

I would go ya one further and say the gold plating doesnt mean anything either.

well you have voltage passing through RCAs, gold plating would give better transfer

Yeah, but it falls back to that thing that always bothers me. If there is a difference, is it so small that you want notice it. Like the difference between .05% THD and .005%. One is better than the other but youll never hear it.

true, but I want to make sure there is no audible difference, your system is only as good as your weakest link
