I'm in KC until the 1st and wanted to know some stuff to do over the weekend.

Any of the locals have any suggestions?

Go to Arthur Bryant's for some awesome BBQ. The best one is the original on Brooklyn Ave., in downtown, kind of in a rough part of town. Looks like a hole in the wall. But the BBQ is to die for. Don't take the sqweamish, it is a grease house, often with bare-handed cooks piling up the meat. But oh man, it's good. Be sure to buy a bottle of sauce to take with you. You'll miss it if you don't. I like "Original".

Don't get pulled over by the police, they will fingerprint you.

I'm working in North KC (hood, from what I understand), and staying at a hotel near Worlds of Fun (amusement park) off of 435. I got here Monday but have been pretty busy with work.

doh! You couldn't be further away from me.

There is a nice new shopping/restaurant/theater area up North called Zona Rosa.

Pretty far from me too... It would be cool to drink a cold 1 with you but I understand the work schedule if you can't.

Let me know.

You could visit the Boulevard Brewery, they are famous throughout the Midwest for their fine beers. http://www.blvdbeer.com/ I think they have Saturday tours. They're located in close to the river off of I35 in central KC about 9 miles due southwest from World's of Fun.

Not too far away from Boulevard Brewery if you'd just go south on Southwest Trafficway or Broadway, The Plaza is a nice shopping/restaurant/bar district you could visit too.

I435 and Worlds of Funk. Oh boy :) You'll enjoy that. Way to get a taste for KC. HA.

Always enjoy the Plaza as mentioned above. Some fine dining, if you wish.

What exactly are you looking for entertainment wise? ;) Live? Exotic? Never mind.. hehe
