OK, here's what I'm trying to do --
I will be using the speakers on my 2-channel system as my HT fronts, so whenever I want to watch a movie, I'll carry the speakers into the den and hook them up to the receiver. For the sake of convenience, I would like to use the same speaker cables on my 2-channel system and hook them up to my HT system along with the speakers. However, it'll be a hassle if I have to plug the speakers into the back of the receiver every time I watch a movie.
So here's what I'm looking for -- a pair of "extensions" for speaker cables (about 2 -3 ft.) that will remain plugged into the receiver and the other end can "receive" banana plugs or spades. Has anyone ever run across something like that?
If not, any ideas on how to make them? I thought about getting two sets of binding posts and using 2 ft. runs of speaker wire to attach the binding posts to the receiver, but I'd like to find a more suitable alternative.
Thanks.
