I finally decided to pull the trigger on a flat screen for the bedroom. I really got sick and tired of the research with all the hooplah regarding 1080P, resolution and all the other associated crapola. I wandered into BB and began looking at the 27 to 37 inch flat screens. On a few Internet sessions I stumbled over the Westinghouse brand and since I'm a Pittsburgh boy I was very happy to see an American company getting into the Biz. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to see their 32" model and was also impressed with the 37". At a grand I figured the 32" would hang very nicely on the wall parellel to the end of the bed. Cool I thought and snapped it up.

I also purchased the HD20 receiver since I only have 1 HDEF receiver. This is another story but I will add this receiver is not very user friendly. PQ is fine but it just plain sucks in every other catagory in my honest opinion.

Now for the setup after walking into the house, I figured I'd stage it in the main living room so if there was a problem I could just throw it back in the box with an easy jaunt to the car. After I got everything set up the wife(Sherry) said, I like this TV and want to keep it in the living room since it does not swallow the room. I was in shock over this reaction but what sent me into convulsions was when she said just go buy another one for the bedroom:D

Its time I guess to find a good home for a 32" and 27" CRT. Does 200 for both sound reasonable? They are both in excellent condition.

I have a JVC 30in widescreen. It's not HD, but it is flat screen. (Not likd 4inch flat, but still projection flat.)

Is your 32in CRT better than this JVC I own? I too got my JVC from BB

The 32" CRT has a very nice picture but it is at least 20" or so deep. I would not consider it as a replacement for your JVC... It and the 27" would make for a good TV for the kids whome are getting into gaming or just to have a spare in the kids bedroom if you catch my drift.

Henry,

The Westinghouse TVs are real nice and the price is right. However, they are not manufactured by Westinghouse. CBS/Viacom owns the licensing rights to the Westinghouse name in all products except the nuclear power generation products. Viacom has been whoreing the name to anyone for the right price. I'm not sure who is making the TVs but they are real nice. I talked to a salesman at Kaufmann's (another piece of Pittsburgh history now gone) a year or so ago, and he told me that he has never had any returned.

So are you going to buy the 37"?

yeah that is kind of a problem seeing we sell more TV's than all BB's in town combined (or CC's for that matter as well). But that's why we're adding onto our warehouse that will be finished this fall. We're adding another 368k ft^3 to our already large 269k. But honestly, the reason we're out of stock is so often is because manufacturer's can't supply us with enough product fast enough. We order TV's by the hundreds per sku.

I bought myself the 32" LCD LTV-32W1 for the bedroom and very pleased with it HD quality is superb it does both 1080i and 720p. Crutchfield run a special back in December for $899.00 with free shipping, so I jumped on it.
