Yes. That´s the question.

Rti 8 has great sound and with the power bass from the psw 505 is a great team.

But the Rti12 has 3 wooffer inside. But The Rti 8 is very high clear¡

I don´t know.

thank you for your reply.

i know i hate when people answer answer my question with an option i didnt ask about but here i am gonna do the same for you. Get the RTi8 and get an SVS subwoofer from SVSound.com. That will be your best option for the money.

Depends on what you are driving your mains with, if you are using a decent to very good receiver I say the rti8 with a sub. If you are using a seperate amp then I say the either the 8's with a sub or the 12's with a sub. There is no way the 12 will be able to provide what a powered sub can provide.

the 12's have decent bass when bi-amped, but my experience is you still need a quality sub(which i still need also). i think every good system needs a sub. a sub is really the only way to get the real low notes that are needed in music and ht

My take?

Depends on what you want to do.

If you want to go towards a multichannel HT setup - then go with the 8s and go with an SVS like Stopher suggested.

However, if you want to go towards stereo 2 Channel listening - I wouldnt go with a sub. I'd go with the RTi12.

However, take into account I'm only looking at bass integration here.

I agree with Joey V. If you are only looking to listen to 2 channel music, I usually turn my sub off and put towers to large so RTi12's would be best, or better yet LSi 15s : )

But, if you watch movies regularly (or are really into rap music), you'll want the sub for the explosions and such, get the RTi8s and a HSU, SVS, or I like my Omni s-12 (musical and cheap at Tweeter if you can find one).

Rti8’s + PSW505 sub. Not because I have them both, but because they sound good together if properly calibrated for HT.

Rti12’s are very nice speakers and need a lot more juice than the Rti8’s to get the best out of them. External amp is a must.

If you are planning to run the Rti8’s with an external amp later, they would really open up for you. Also, the 12’s are considerably bigger in size than the 8’s, something to consider.

IMO the Rti series speakers are meant for HT application. LSi’s with a nice sub is the way to go for 2-channel music system, providing you want to stay with Polk speakers.
