Hey I planning on getting the Polk Audio RTi 12 with the CSi 5 center, 2 sets of FXi 5 surrounds, and a velodyne 1,000 watt sub. I need to know what would be a good receiver to power everything? Crutchfield recommended a Denon AVR-3806 to power everything? Does that sound about right? Can you recommend me something?

I'm thinking a Denon with maybe a Rotel RB-1092 500 watt x 2 amp for the RTi 12 fronts? What about that?

Here is my experience with these speakers.I have never run them off a reciever, but when I first got them I was powering them with 250 watts.Sounded pretty darn good,IMO.Recently,I added another amp.Am now bi-amping with 250 watts to woofers and 100 watts to the mids and tweets. Some may argue about this, but it is a definete improvement. All around, more clarity and much tighter bass. What I`m getting at is, these speakers need lotsa power to really shine. The denon would probably sound decent, but I would recommend more power.Maybe a lesser reciever with another amp or seperates all around.Hope this helps in your decision.Enjoy

At the very least,do as jimi64 has done...I have also bi-amped our 12's with 200 wpc to power the woofers,125 wpc to drive the upper end.
The big Rotel would be an awesome amp. I'm sure, but you could save a little money and pick up a couple of smaller amps. used.
You also want to feed your CSi5 about 200 wpc. An Outlaw mono-block,the third channel of a 3 channel amp....several options...The main thing is to get some external power at least to the 12's...
Use your AVR/Denon to power the remaining 4 channels.

Bi-amp them by picking up a pair of used, discontinued NHT SA-3 bass amps off of the bay or 'Gon to drive each set of woofers:

Then pick up a Jolida integrated to drive the tweets/mids.
SWEET!
You will not get better sound out of the RTi12 for the $$$.
