Looking for some help, I could hire someone around town but thought I would give someone a bone here if I could.
I started a corporation DVRBLACKBOX, Inc. Bridging the Gap. A business making a remote converter for C-Band satellite and Digital Video Recorders.

I can help out with artwork and logos, but HTML isn't my bag.

I know you could sex it up some, but I need to keep it clean Demi.
Not saying your help wouldn't be welcome.
Thank you.
Man...
Just use Geocities...
As long as you know what to make, you can make some nice looking stuff and anyone can do it.

Well, looks like you already have the logo mostly taken care of.

I also need some pages as a password enter only. Like a gateway page to others below it 1 page protecting 6 others.

for the password-protected stuff, i'm pretty confident you need server-side processing, the availability of which depends on who's hosting you... some people are proficient in e.g. php but not in anything else... posting what resources you have available may help narrow your search... just my .02, cause i can't help :p

Logo A is not half bad, but I think the copyright is a little too close to the rest of the logo. It is simple enough that it wouldn't be too difficult to get them put on your products.
Though, the Font style used for "DVR" looks exactly like the font used on all of my VHS tapes and VCRs at home. Not sure how I feel about it.
Hopefully my feedback can help some (unless you were not looking for any, then opps).

Not necessarily... you can create password protected pages with JavaScript and Flash... though it's horribly easy to break into (there was a website that had a bunch of hacking tests and this kind of password scheme was like level 1 or 2).
To do password protection, there are many ways to do it (and, of course, the best ways are server-side).
-You can use .htaccess, which you can place inside of whatever directory you want and you can have it set a password for that directory. Very simple to use, you just need to be using Apache.
-You can have a database of users. Have a script running php, cgi, perl or asp verify the user and if they authenticate, load the page.

Yes, this would be extremely helpful. I could make suggestions then :)

I have the site registered it's www.dvrblackbox.com nothing has been uplinked there as of today. My old site was a personnel type page at http://bellsouthpwp.net/g/o/goofy8/ to give you the idea what I'm looking for.
