There are some legendary quotes attributed to famous folks that they never actually said.
SCompRacer and I traded a couple in PM's stemming from my entry in his Trigger Karma. Both of us doubt they were really said and I came up empty on snopes.com, but if they were said...In a long ago interview with reporters, Roy Rogers told them that when Trigger died, he was going to have him stuffed and mounted. The reporters asked Dale Evans what she thought about that, and her reply was she too would like to be stuffed and mounted, but not necessarily in that order and preferably before death.When Arnold Palmer's wife (Winnie, I believe) appeared on the old "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson".
Supposedly Carson asked if she did anything to bring Arnold good luck in a tournament to which she replied, "Sometimes I do kiss his balls."
Of course the audience broke out in laughter, she turned beet red and Carson, as he usually did, waited for the laughter to die out before uttering, "I'll bet that makes his putter flutter."Got any to add?
