I had assumed that I'd be getting something other than polk. Today I log onto crutchfield to see the 55i (my dream speakers) down to $400 a pair? WHAT THE @(*@? Why did they dump in price? It it cuz of the LSi line? WHY!

Also is there any finageling to be had with the sub deal? I dont want a polk sub but still want the discount.

I have heard the RT line is being discontinued, look like it may be true.

On the sub deal, it is a Polk deal not a Crutchfield deal so I don't think they will let you use it on other brands.

wow RT discontinued. hmmm. worrysome

I would not buy the sub from crutchfield. I either want a HST or SVS sub and would like to put that $250 towards some FX or CS or stands. Never made sence to me why polk puts these intence restrictions on their specials. I'd have my system now if that 250 wasn't so limmiting

Crutchfield says that "In addition, I wanted to let you know that Polk has lowered the price on the 55 series speakers in an effort to reach a better price point, and therefore a better position in the speaker market."

So I guess that is an answer unless we hear otherwise from polk.

I was thinking that MAYBE someone in the MARKETING dept. might have thrown us a bone, letting us know that the RTi line might be getting a little cheaper or something to that effect.......

Talk about feeling like a mushroom.
