My apologies for making a series of posts here :)

I have seen people mention they have habits of buying, selling, and trading speakers on a constant basis.

Here is the deal: I have two Polk Audio RTS2000p towers, but the thought of possibly trading them or selling them has crossed my mind. I live in eastern Virginia, despite my searching I have yet to find anything aside from retail soundshops.

The problem is this: Not only do I not know where to go, but these speakers were payed for by my parents. Yes, Im 20 and still at home...laugh all you want! :). I essentially need to know if anyone here knows of any speakers under 1k that can outperform the ones I have.

Nothing is set in stone, but if one day that bug bites me.......... I would like to know which way to go. Hopefully you experts can help! Thanks

you will be hard pressed to find any speaker on the market that costs under 1k that will even measure up to the rt2000p's.
Speakers are very personal, finding the right ones for you might not lay in what they cost but what you like.Cost has alot to do with what you own, like me I want a pair of Martin Logan Prodigy's but find them to be slightly out of my price range,So I try to find speakes that I can afford and narrow it down in that given price class.
A thousand bucks isn't alot to spend on speakers. There are tons of speakers out there that fall in into that .Tons of people on here will tell you that the rt800 series speaker is the best floor standing speaker Polk makes aside of the LSI series. They cost less then you towers and you might like them better.
Check them out or the new rti series replacement for that speaker.
