Hey gang,
I am in need of a new subwoofer. I currently have an 8 inch, 100watt Yamaha (I dont remember the model; it came with one of Yamaha's HTIB's) subwoofer. The bass coming out of this sub just isn't tight. I have it position right, and the settings just on, but I would like to upgrade to a 10" perhaps a 12" sub. Does anyone have any good ideas for a subwoofer thats no more than $350? Any suggestions would be great, thanks!!
Anything from SVS,HSU or Velodyne.

Yea, I've seen a few subs from Velodyne at circuitcity...but I was skeptical only because I've personally never heard of them before. Are they any good?
I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from Velodyne. Very good products and priced very reasonable. Vann's has some really good sales on Velodyne right now with free shipping.http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/features/549349079

While I really like Velo mid to high end models, at that price point (actually less) I'd go with the Bic Acoustech H100 or the Rocket x-sub. Either will outperform the VRP1200.

That Bic Acoustech H100 looks very, very promising. I will need to read up on some more reviews about it before purchasing it. Do you have any personal experience with it?

Here's link to a GTG with some local guys I did in March. I think the BIC compares favorably to most $4-500 retail subs out there, including the Velo DPS and DLSR series.

Thank you both for your suggestions! I will start my research between the different brands to see what fits my needs and budget.
