Depends on placement and if the subs have in's and outs.

A Y adapter with both runs to the sub out on a receiver is how I like to do it. But when the sub has Pass out, I use it from time to time.

Both subs in the front of the room stacked sounded great on this B&W job I did years back. I had ASW1000 subs stacked as the final and man it rocked. I tried both corners, tried one in front one in back, metered for peaks and dips,Measured the room and figured out Freq response, etc and stacking them on top of each other sounded the best. Didn't look wife friendly but the customer loved it.

Haha that would probably be the best way otherwise you have to be really careful with the phasing as you don't want them to cancel each other out.
