Hang R30's from ceiling?

I would like to hang a Polk R30 from the ceiling, lying on its side, so that the long axis is parallel with the plane of the ceiling. Can I put some screw eyes into the sides of the enclosure without puncturing any important internal components? The target locations for the screw eyes would be centered between the front and back sides, about eight inches from what would normally be the top and bottom ends.

I realize this will void the warranty, and thanks!

Hang a center speaker. They are made for horizontal placement and would look much better in my opinion.
