If it is for the IB I don't think it will matter which kind you use as long as it is fat. IE 10g.

I was even thinking about using it for all my speakers, and the IB

I run generic 10g to my rear speaks.
When I decide to change out my front stage wires I will be making my own out of Silver plated OFC. Just to see if I hear a diference from my Monster z series.

I don't think you need 10g wire. Unless your runs are stupid long, then I wouldn't use it. If they have 12 to 14 guage, I'd consider that.10g is a waste.
Good price but it will be a bitch to work with.

See if that company offers 14-2. It's exactly what you need. As far as quality of that wire, I have no idea. Never used it

SKY-change the monster z's out.I used to run them on SRT's
and felt they veiled the sound a bit.Changed to a silver cable
and upgraded power cords and made a world of diff.
Try it, you'll like it.:)

especially when it comes to terminating them. Posted this before, but these banana plugs can take a 10-gauge wire with minimal muss-n-fuss.

$42 for a 28-pack, enough to terminate both ends of a 7.1 system (you are going to run a cable to the subwoofer).
They're built like TANKS, easy to work with.
Looks like a good deal on that wire, though. Shipping for me for a 100-foot roll was $15 (Midwest).
If you get a spool, let us know how it turned out.

I have banana's similar to those, except they don't have the compression fit at the base of the plug, and are not too crazy about them. I absolutly hate that single flat head screw design. It's quite horrible at holding wire in there. I'd much rather have a simple compression fit than a single screw. It might not be an issue with the locking part of those gls audio plugs, but with mine they occasionally let go of the wire because I can't physically tighten the screw enough without damaging it.

my plugs just to see how much they could take.
After a lot of beefcake, the head started to strip, the female threads in the plug itself never did. The tip of the screwdriver I was using wasn't perfectly flat and I'm sure that's what started the stripping action.
With 10-gauge wire, tightening the bottom of the plug assures a darn tight fit, very secure.
I like banana plugs because it makes swapping speakers very easy.
