Tell you what,
You will receive an upgrade option on the Ultra in the near future from SVS. They will come out with a new driver. When they do, I will buy your old drivers for the price you pay for the new ones, and my plus 2 will have ultra drivers in them.
Whatcha think???

The new Ultra will be built in Ohio in SVS factory. Will it be better?? Maybe yes but it will be slight improuvment.

What more do you need? I'm not sure about you, but the Ultra/2 hits very hard and very deep....perfect in my book.

I like the SVS so far but I am sure I could do something with the old drivers if I can get new ones for a hundred bucks each.

I just bought a pair of ~3 yr old 20-39CS+'s and I'm definitely jumping on these.

Ordered my NSD today. With S&H the total was about $91. It won't ship until mid July:( But that's only six weeks away! Damn this year is going fast.

I've heard back from Ron @ SVS.... I have the serial number, date of manufacture and original purchaser's name, so no problem.

They just wanna make sure you actually OWN SVS subs and not just ordering the drivers for a do-it-yourself project. I gave them serial numbers for the cs 20-39's I bought on e-bay and offered to send them pics if they wanted. I've got two of the new drivers on order. Eric at SVS said I'll see a BIG difference!

Hey Sky,
You need to sell your old Drivers to me when you upgrade your ultra. Thats the patriotic thing to do!

Yeah that's pretty much what Ron told me. I was supposed to call them today and it just didnt happen. Funny, I'll have to get off work early to call... lol. I think I work too much.
I dont blame them for being cautious. There's bound to be some moron that tries to screw them by supplying a "serial number".

Ordered the upgraded driver for my 20-39 PC+ today. I'm thinking about my first true DIY speaker project using my old driver to build a sub for the second HT system. How do you find out all the parameters of the old driver to plug them into one of the speaker building software programs to get a box design and port dimensions? Is there someone that can do this for me?

Chances are SVS will not give them to you, but try emailing Tom V. and see if he'll give you some general direction. He'll probably tell you to build something similar in size as the current SVS subs. Try checking some of the DIY sections at HT Forum or HT guilde. If the parameters are out there those guys will know them.
I built a DIY sub from the first generation ISD driver and Tom helped me a bit. Somehow some ballpark parameters were posted in the DIY section at the HT Forums. Tom said they were pretty close and gave me some ballpark enclosure and port sizes to work with.
