Band Room Speakers

I was charged with finding speakers for a Band Teacher (The old ones, Bose, were blown out by some students) I was originally looking at this (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MTX-DJ-Speaker-TP112-/sem/rpsm/oid/75522/catOid/-12950/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do), and then I saw the sticker meant one, not both, I think that's a dirty trick, but I digress.

Do you guys know where I can speakers like that for two at the price of that one? I'm not asking for super quality, just decent quality (Something that appeases the mass) and can hold its weight in a large room (Band Room size for those of you that have those memories) and really close to that price point (Lower is ok though.)

I do not think you will find squat for that price. If you have to have that low of price, the only place to go is Ebay. Plain and simple. You might be able to score 2 speakers for $150+shipping there. Good luck and Gods speed.

check out some place like Costco or a pawn shop.. I'd think speaker like that you could find in a pawn shop pretty easily.

Heh, thanks guy, I did figure that this would be near impossible, I'm tellin' em' to bump up the budget, I figure I may as well just build it on my own and turn it over in a month or so.

Well, I talked to them, and they ponyed it up to about $150-$200. Daresay, is that more workable? I wonder, are there some home speakers you guys know about that would perform well in huge rooms? Once again, thanks.
