Gainclone done the Wardsweb way

My latest project started almost two years ago. Things got busy, life got in the way and the project was shelved back in 2004. Well yesterday I pulled the parts out and decided to whip this thing out for next weeks audio meet in Austin.

Very cool. Are you going to put some LED's inside it to get the cool glow like your Champion II?

What kind of specs will it have? How does the heat get transfered mto the sinks? Did you do the circuit design?

I love to build things, but my expertise is in a different realm...

No plans for lights at the moment, but you never know. The LM3875 chip is rated at 56 watts into 8 ohms, so this is basically a 100 watt amplifier. Building is easy, as you just stuff the boards, add a transformer and chassis. That's basically how it goes. The boards came from BrianGT over at the diyaudio forums.

I was pushing it pretty hard last night just to see and it doesn't even get warm. The heat sinks are WAY overkill, but they look cool and make for nice sides to the amp.
